I used almond milk and olive oil to mix with this cake batter mix and the cake came out really light, fluffy, and tasty. One could definitely taste the pure vanilla bean flavor. I also made the simple butter cream frosting which came out excellent. (2 cups confectioners sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 stick softened butter, and 1 tablespoon milk.) I was really impressed and pleased with this cake......it did not have a cake "batter" taste. It had a homemade old school taste and was delicious. Website: www.dassant.com.
