Blue Print Juice

I am writing about this delicious drink while the taste is still lingers in my mind.

First:  The product is 100% raw & organic, vegan/gluten, wheat/dairy-free/ and Kosher!

Next: The product comes in several flavors:

  Beverage (Nicknames):                     Whats in it:

Green Machine                              Green romaine, celery, cucumber, apple, spinach, kale,
                                                         parsley, lemon & ginger.

Light Gold                                     Gold pineapple, apple, mint

Cayenne Lemonade                       Yellow lemon, water, cayenne, agave

Power Red                                     Red apple, carrot, beet, lemon, ginger

Dreamy White                               White cashew, water, vanilla, cinnamon,
                                                          agave.

My favorite was the Dreamy White.  It also happened to be the most expensive of the group.
My second favorite was the Cayenne Lemonade as it had a nice kick to it.
The Green Machine was next, followed by the Power Red.  My least favorite was the Light Gold.  IT was very bland but perhaps this could be a good choice for kids or for those who want something a little less bold or interesting.

The drinks are available at Whole Foods and are pricy.  I believe the range is $8.00-$12.00 per a bottle.  (I need to check the sizes and costs next time I there.)

However, if you are looking for a drink for a vegan/vegetarian this is a special treat.

Dassant Premium Vanilla Bean Cake Mix

I used almond milk and olive oil to mix with this cake batter mix and the cake came out really light, fluffy, and tasty. One could definitely taste the pure vanilla bean flavor. I also made the simple butter cream frosting which came out excellent. (2 cups confectioners sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 stick softened butter, and 1 tablespoon milk.) I was really impressed and pleased with this cake......it did not have a cake "batter" taste. It had a homemade old school taste and was delicious. Website: www.dassant.com. The company also makes Meyer Lemon cake mix, Truffle Brownie mix, and Ginger Gingerbread cake mix.

This pasta does cook nicely and does have a nice, firm, al dente texture when instructions are followed.  The good thing is that you can overcook the pasta and it will still taste good.  The bad news is that it does not taste so great the next day.  If you re-heat it will become softer again.  So it is best to use what you will eat, or just make a little extra.

I made a very simple sauce of leftover hot sauce/salsa (2 tablespoons), Parmesan cheese, olive oil, parsley, garlic, and red pepper flakes.  I also threw in a few spinach leaves to add some color.  It was the perfect light dinner.  Very tasty, easy to prepare, and satisfying.

I have bought product this product a few times and would buy it again.
